You can’t get any closer to the feeling of surfing side-by-side over the waves with a surfing superstar than this: With his new DVD, Jason Polakow brings the wave vibes into your own living room.‘KA1111’ shows the windsurfing scene’s attitude to life in the 90s, when Polakow’s explosive style provoked a furor with a new standard of waveriding; ‘…..
About Time’ is one of the sickest and most expensive windsurfing movies ever to be made. Along with bonus material that’s never been aired before, shown by Jason and the JP team in Maui and Cabo Verde, both films have been released for the first time as a double pack DVD. ‘The Polakow Movies’ can now be ordered on www.jp.synvision.dk.
Windsurfing action from 1990s to today
Jason on his reasons for the new release: “Up to now both films were only available on VHS, so a technology update was necessary. Besides, the rental agency went broke while we were launching ‘…..About Time.’” Naturally, it’s not just the technical-practical element of the DVD that will get surfing fans’ heart racing: “You more or less get to experience a journey across an entire windsurfing generation,” says Polakow.
Champion on boards and thick-tread tires
Polakow, who celebrated his 36th birthday on November 10, has been one of the world’s most successful waveriders since 1991. The Australian, who dominated the Australian Junior championships, is a two-time Wave World Champion, and was among the top 3 in the world wavesailing ranking for seven years.
